I got to participate in the "Celebrate the Arts" fair at Anthem at Merrill Ranch in FLORENCE, AZ on November 14th. Yes, it is 62 miles away but was well worth it...it was only a 5-hour show, but they had double the turn-out they thought! I was constantly busy, sold many pins, and got to chat with great people who loved my art. Thank you, Christine Reeder, for working with your team to coordinate such a successful event! It was so organized and everyone had a great time. ...bluegrass bands, children's activities, beer garden, and TRUE art vendors of every kind. This was their first event ever....I told Chris to please invite me next year :)
First Friday, October 2nd....be there!
Just found out I have a spot at First Friday on Roosevelt Row this week! Thank you, Gina Burns, for letting me have one of your spots that came open! I will be on 4th Street just south of Roosevelt on the East side of the street. I got some new yarn, beads and doodads (OK, so I have way too much already) and have been working like mad on more critters. I will post some pictures before Friday. Sure looking forward to the excitement! It is a lot of work but I just can't stay away......

First Friday Flix from September 4, 2015
My first table setup! It was a great day, lots of foot traffic, lots of contacts and invites to other shows in the valley. For lots of fun, FOOD and entertainment, come to the next one....October 2nd. See you then!

...even a Honey Bear BBQ food truck....YUMMMMMMM!
Sky was getting dark......ominous clouds rolled in.......suddenly it sprinkled.....then...rain was gone and what a perfect night!
New bead caps....too exciting!
Just came back from Joanne's to get some pin backs and browsed the jewelry isle...of course. Found some new colored bead caps and I was overwhelmed!! (Doesn't take much.) Now I have silver, bronze, pewter and copper. So exciting to have even more options other than gold....just what I need HAHA. Sometimes I just sit at my table and look around to see what may work together. I have many critters sitting in front of me and when something hits me, then I get creative. Sometimes I spend a minute in there, and other times many hours. So, now that I have even more doodads the creative juices are flowing.....
More Turtles!

Went to the First Friday show downtown Phoenix last Friday just to see how the crafters set up their "booths." Oh gosh, it was pouring rain! I got soaked but saw some of the vendors set up and then take down in a matter of minutes.....oh well....getting ready to be a part of the show the First Friday in September... and that would be September 4th. I won't know where I will set up until I check in on that day, but sure looking forward to it. Working madly on more critters, making my own business cards (love degraeve.com. A great site to make your own cards and it is so easy), registering my "Square", making more jewelry cards, then trying to figure out how I will package the purchases.

Just playing around. Found this already-painted box at a thrift store and attached a lizard to the top.

Have many new pins in different stages right now, and here are a few of finished ones done today. Love that new brown shade yarn! Getting ready for the September First Friday show on September 4th from 6-11pm...hope it is cooler. This is a juried event and I was accepted! See me under the white tent on Roosevelt Row. (Of course there will be many white tents.) Learn about the Roosevelt Row Arts District (RoRo), a walkable, creative district in downtown Phoenix. This organization is fostering urban renewal by rehabilitating bungalows and providing infill projects. www.rooseveltrow.org
Yay, I got my business license in the mail today! Oh well, now I have to pay taxes...what else is new....Now to decide what show to go into. I was accepted as a new vendor with Briar Patch Marketplace and they have many shows starting in September through Christmas. Have to get busy working on my little critters.... www.briarpatchmarketplace.com
More butterflies....per request
My mom had her hair cut this past Saturday and, of course, wore one of my pins. Her stylist saw it right away and wanted to buy one...in blue colors. This is what I had and I will be bringing them in for him to choose on Saturday. Also made another since I was on a roll. It is HARD to make the butterflies since there are so many curves to cover when wrapping...but getting a lot of practice....

Here are my Christmas lizards.....found this glittery red yarn (hard to see here) and couldn't resist to work with green and red beads.
